Experienced Odoo Consultant

The Odoo ERP Consultant will be responsible for leading implementation projects of the Odoo solution for companies from various sectors (industry, services, retail, etc.). In this role, the consultant will play a key part throughout the entire project lifecycle—from requirements gathering to final deployment—relying on Captivea’s proven methodology.
The consultant’s mission is to understand the business processes of their stakeholders, identify potential improvements, and translate these needs into concrete solutions within Odoo. They will help ensure project success through effective implementation, high-quality support, and lasting customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Understand the scope of the project and analyze client needs
- Gather and analyze client business requirements (workshops, discussions, etc.)
- Identify gaps between business needs and Odoo’s standard features
- Propose appropriate solutions using Odoo’s native functionalities or through custom development
Manage the project
- Define and monitor project progress in collaboration with the client and internal teams
- Plan, track, and adjust project phases according to constraints and priorities
- Lead follow-up meetings and communicate project status
- Ensure clear communication throughout the project and document key decisions and changes
Implement the ERP software to meet client needs
- Define and estimate tasks
- Install and configure Odoo modules across various areas: Accounting, Sales, Manufacturing, HR, Logistics, etc.
- Customize modules using implementation tools (Studio, automated actions, scheduled actions)
- Import data
- Write functional specifications and collaborate with developers
- Test implemented features and organize validation sessions with the client
Ensure client satisfaction at every stage of the project
- Train and provide support to end users
- Proactively suggest improvements to optimize client processes
Ensure compliance with Captivea's methodology

Contribute to pre-sales activities
- Collaborate with the sales team to analyze prospects’ initial needs and propose suitable solutions

- Deliver functional demonstrations related to the potential client’s business

Skills & Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in the field
Proven experience in one of the following areas:
- ERP software integration (experience with Odoo and Odoo integration is a strong plus)
- OR a strong background in one of the following specific areas: Accounting, Manufacturing, Supply Chain
Excellent communication skills (both with clients and internal teams)
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and integrate well within a team

Problem-solving and analytical skills
