Junior Human Resources officer

Antananarivo, Madagascar

Ensure the smooth running of HR operational activities, supporting the HR Manager, with a focus on personnel administration, payroll, and tracking HR actions.

Activities and Tasks

Personnel Administration

  • Participate in the administrative onboarding of employees (contracts, files, HR documents)
  • Ensure employee records are kept up to date
  • Monitor leave, absences, and expense reports
  • Manage enrollments (health insurance, provident fund, employee savings plans, etc.)
  • Act as the HR point of contact for employees

Payroll Management (in coordination with the service provider)

  • Enter variable payroll elements (bonuses, leave, absences, etc.)
  • Manage the relationship with the service provider and transmit relevant information

HR Management Support

  • Track quarterly performance reviews
  • Contribute to the implementation of skills development initiatives
  • Support the HR Manager in HR projects and initiatives

Required Skills

Bachelor’s degree (2–3 years of higher education) in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fields
Initial experience in HR (including internships or apprenticeships)
Basic knowledge of labor law

Strong sense of confidentiality, attention to detail, and organizational skills

Good interpersonal skills and a service-oriented mindset

Excellent command of French (spoken and written); English is a plus

Knowledge of the Odoo ERP system is an advantage
