WHO IS Société de pêche de Sainte Marie (SPSM) ?

Founded in 1999 and part of the Copefrito group, Société de Pêche de Sainte-Marie (SPSM) is based on the island of Sainte-Marie (Nosy Boraha) in Madagascar. It specializes in fishing, collection, processing, and export of seafood products, and notably introduced night lamp fishing (lamparo), enabling hundreds of local pirogue fishermen to catch pelagic fish.

Part of the catch is consumed locally, while the surplus is purchased, packaged, and exported by the company. SPSM actively supports small-scale fishing through ongoing partnerships covering maintenance, the supply of suitable engines, and the setup of service infrastructure.

THEIR NEEDS
