The context
Scaling a healthy food brand with a reliable ERP foundation
Zina's Salads is a healthy food company founded by chef Zina Shaknovich that offers globally inspired salads and ready-made dishes across major supermarkets, gourmet stores and restaurants in the Northeast and throughout the United States.
Before the project, Zina's Salads was already using Odoo but needed to be sure that their system could keep pace with a growing catalogue of more than 50 menu items, expanding distribution and increasing operational complexity, while avoiding inefficiencies that could slow down production and delivery.
The stakes were to secure reliable day-to-day operations, avoid bottlenecks in production and supply, and gain the confidence that their ERP set-up could support future growth without sacrificing quality, service levels or profitability.
Their needs
Clarifying the ERP roadmap and securing operational efficiency
Zina's Salads wanted to leverage Odoo and Captivea's expertise in unified ERP implementation to achieve a substantial increase in operational efficiency.
- Gain reassurance about the feasibility and relevance of their Odoo-based solution for their specific business model.
- Ensure that Captivea fully understood their production, supply chain, and sales processes before moving forward.
- Confirm a realistic budget, a clear methodology, and concrete deliverables for the ERP improvements.
- Obtain a reliable timeline and visibility on each phase of the Odoo project, from analysis to deployment.
The proposed solution
A structured analysis of the Odoo environment to unlock efficiency gains
Captivea began by performing a complete analysis of Zina's Salads' Odoo environment, reviewing how key applications such as Inventory, Manufacturing, Purchase, Maintenance, Accounting, Invoicing, Sign, Fleet, Surveys, Project, Timesheet, Sales, Discuss, and Odoo Studio were used. Through business discovery workshops and themed sessions with different teams, Captivea produced detailed deliverables, validated them with stakeholders, and shaped a roadmap focused on time savings, automation of repetitive tasks, tighter inventory control, optimised purchasing, better visibility on timesheets and billing, and the development of eCommerce and website activities.
The first step of this project is to perform a complete analysis of the client's Odoo environment.
