Case on Odoo

The context

From unmaintained Odoo Community to a reliable, scalable ERP

FERALA Luxembourg is a custom-made clothing brand in Luxembourg that combines modernity and tradition, offering sustainable, slow-fashion garments crafted by European artisans and personalised tailoring services in its city-centre boutique.

Before the project, Ferala had been working for several years on a community version of Odoo that was no longer maintained and suffered from recurring bugs, limiting day-to-day efficiency and creating uncertainty about the system’s ability to support their growing retail and tailoring activity.

Ferala needed a stable, sustainable ERP that would secure their operations, centralise information across sales, point of sale, purchasing and inventory, and provide reliable visibility for managing a fast-growing, high-end custom clothing business.

Their needs

Stabilise and upgrade Odoo to support a growing fashion brand

Ferala asked to migrate their ageing Odoo Community environment to Odoo Enterprise V16 with new functionalities, while being reassured on feasibility, timeline and budget, and making sure their specific custom-made clothing business processes were clearly understood and supported.

  • Secure the migration from Odoo Community to Odoo Enterprise V16 with no loss of data or key functionalities.
  • Work with a partner who understands the custom-made clothing business and can translate it into robust Odoo processes.
  • Obtain a clear, confirmed budget and timeline for the project before committing to the migration.
  • Gain a single, reliable business solution for point of sale, purchasing, inventory and finance, with consolidated reporting for management.

The proposed solution

Structured analysis and migration to Odoo Enterprise V16

Captivea Luxembourg started with a complete analysis of Ferala’s existing Odoo environment through themed business discovery workshops, then produced detailed deliverable documents to confirm scope, approach, budget and timeline. Based on this, they migrated Ferala to Odoo Enterprise V16 and deployed a coherent set of business applications covering finance, marketing, human resources, supply chain, sales, point of sale and appointments, creating a single, integrated ERP tailored to the needs of a high-end, custom-made clothing retailer.

The first step of this project is to perform a complete analysis of the client's Odoo environment.

Analysis objectives

  • To be reassured on the faisability
  • Show that we understood their business
  • To confirm a budget
