Ministere De L'Éducation Nationale, De L'Enfance Et De La Jeunesse
The Ministry of National Education, Childhood and Youth is the government agency responsible for formulating and implementing government policy in the fields of education, childhood, and youth. Whether in formal or non-formal settings, high-quality and socially equitable education and care are essential to providing every child, young person, and adult with fair opportunities to shape their future.
The context
Building Odoo ERP skills for a nationwide Ministry of Education
The Ministry of National Education, Childhood and Youth is the government agency responsible for formulating and implementing government policy in the fields of education, childhood, and youth.
Before the project, the Ministry was rolling out Odoo ERP across a large public administration with more than 10,000 employees and a wide variety of roles. Without a structured training programme, teams risked using the system unevenly, relying on old habits and manual workarounds, which could limit the benefits of the new ERP and make day-to-day operations harder instead of easier.
The priority was to ensure that the new Odoo ERP genuinely supported the Ministry’s mission of delivering high-quality, socially equitable education and care, by giving staff the confidence to use the system correctly, reducing errors and manual tasks, and securing consistent, reliable information for decision-making.
Their needs
A comprehensive Odoo ERP training programme for over 10,000 employees
The Ministry wanted structured Odoo ERP training that would give its teams the knowledge and skills to use the system effectively, so that every user could understand how to carry out their day-to-day activities in Odoo and become self-sufficient over time.
- Provide structured Odoo ERP training tailored to the Ministry’s organisation and processes.
- Equip staff in different departments with practical, role-based skills for their day-to-day work in Odoo.
- Ensure consistent and correct use of Odoo ERP across the administration to reduce errors and manual rework.
- Build internal autonomy and expertise so that the Ministry can depend on its own teams to use and further develop the solution.
The proposed solution
Focused Odoo ERP training for a nationwide education ministry
Captivea Luxembourg delivered Odoo ERP training for the Ministry of Education, with a focus on giving users practical knowledge they could apply immediately in their day-to-day roles. The training sessions were tailored to the Ministry’s context as a large public administration in the education sector, combining explanations of Odoo’s core concepts with concrete use cases and workflows. This approach equipped participants with the skills required to navigate the system confidently and laid the foundation for consistent, efficient use of Odoo ERP across the institution.
The first step of this project is to perform a complete analysis of the client's Odoo environment.
