The context

Optimising slag manufacturing processes with an integrated Odoo ERP

Calumite India Private Limited is part of Calumite Company, LLC, a member of the Levy Group of Companies, manufacturing and selling Calumite Slag, an essential slag-based raw material used in the production of container and float glass.

Before the project, Calumite relied on separate tools and manual processes that made it difficult to optimise production, follow up on sales opportunities, and maintain a clear view of operations and costs across finance, purchasing, inventory, and projects.

The objectives were to optimise the glass slag supply chain, improve operational efficiency and cost control, and gain better visibility over sales, projects, and resources to fully leverage their market potential.

Their needs

Clarifying feasibility and building the right Odoo ERP foundation

Calumite wanted to prioritise process optimisation by integrating Odoo ERP and working with Captivea to improve their operations and maximise their sales potential.

  • Be assured about the feasibility of the Odoo ERP approach for their slag manufacturing and sales processes.
  • Confirm that their business and constraints were fully understood before launching the project.
  • Confirm a realistic budget and implementation plan aligned with their priorities.
  • Understand how the project would be carried out and over what timeline, with clear milestones.

The proposed solution

A structured Odoo environment analysis to secure the ERP project

Captivea Luxembourg began the project with a detailed analysis of Calumite’s Odoo environment, combining business discovery and themed workshops by team and domain. This exercise produced structured deliverable documents, validated with the client through presentations and feedback sessions, to confirm feasibility, budget, project approach and timeline before rolling out the Odoo ERP solution.

The first step of this project is to perform a complete analysis of the client's Odoo environment.

Analysis objectives

  • To be reassured on the faisability
  • Show that we understood their business
  • To confirm a budget
  • To know and confirm how we will do it
  • Know the timeline

Analysis processes

  1. Business discovery
  2. Workshops By theme / group of people / domains
  3. Create the deliverables documents
  4. Present it
  5. Handle feedback
