RBA Furniture Solutions
Established in 1994 as a design firm, RBA pivoted to sustainable furniture sales, repurposing excess for clients like Nike. Their expertise in decommissioning and refurnishing large spaces is evident in the 2006 King County project. Incorporated in 2007, RBA Furniture expanded offerings to include architectural walls (Avalara 2017) and continued their social focus with the King County Children's Center (2019). Adapting to the pandemic, they manufactured COVID screens in 2020.

The context
A growing sustainable furniture specialist seeking clarity on its ERP strategy
RBA Furniture Solutions is a Seattle-based furniture manufacturer and reseller that grew from a design firm into a specialist in sustainable furniture sales, decommissioning and refurnishing large spaces for clients such as Nike, public institutions and corporate offices.
Over the years, RBA expanded from design to furniture sales, large-scale decommissioning projects, architectural walls and even COVID screen manufacturing. This evolution made their operations more complex and led them to adopt Odoo, but they still needed a clear assessment of how well their ERP setup matched their real business processes and long-term ambitions.
RBA needed confidence that their ERP investment would scale with their expanding services, that Odoo could effectively support their operational reality, and that any future improvements would be planned with a clear budget, scope and timeline.
Their needs
Validating their Odoo ERP and aligning it with a growing, diversified business
RBA wanted to be sure that Odoo could support their end-to-end operations and asked Captivea to review their environment, confirm feasibility, clarify the way forward and provide a reliable budget and timeline before committing further.
- Reassurance about the feasibility of using Odoo as the backbone of their operations.
- Proof that Captivea clearly understood their business model and specific processes.
- A confirmed budget and detailed plan describing how the project would be carried out.
- A realistic, agreed timeline for implementation and change management.
The proposed solution
A structured analysis of the existing Odoo environment to guide future improvements
Captivea began the project with a complete analysis of RBA’s Odoo environment, running business discovery workshops by theme, team and domain. From these sessions, Captivea created formal deliverable documents, presented the findings, and incorporated RBA’s feedback. This structured approach clarified feasibility, budget, implementation steps and timing, and laid the groundwork for optimizing the Odoo apps used across finance, sales, marketing, communication, supply chain and customization.
The first step of this project is to perform a complete analysis of the client's Odoo environment.
