A CRM project is often synonymous with major upheaval in a company. New tools, new ways of working, new rules to follow… All these changes are not always easy for staff to accept. However, with a well-crafted change management plan, it is possible to avoid most of the resistance. Here are some ways to boost the adoption rate of your CRM software.

This may not seem very useful at first, but it is one of the keys to success: the project “branding”. Together with your internal communications or marketing team, give the CRM project project an internal name.

Share it as soon as it is officially approved, and rally the team with challenges such as “imagine your future CRM”, etc. This is an excellent way to involve future users. They will be able to follow the progress of the project, give feedback, and share their concerns…

You will be able to remove many obstacles even before deployment.

Here is another important step to take: involve all functions in the project. Customer relationship management software does not concern only the sales team – far from it. As CIO, you should act as the link between all departments and give everyone a voice. All needs must be identified. Do not leave accounting or logistics out, for example. Of course, you will not be able to meet everyone’s wishes, you will have to prioritise, but they will have been heard, and this will allow you to explain the reasons for your decisions.

Finally, stay organised. Having a clear and detailed schedule  coincides with peace of mind for you and your teams. If there are any questions, everyone can refer to this schedule (updated regularly, of course). Your phone and inbox will thank you for it.

There are still many more avenues to explore. To find out more, head to our B2B CRM Guideresources section. Enjoy the read!
