Junior HR Officer

Antananarivo, Madagascar

Under the supervision of the HR Manager, the Junior HR Officer participates in the administrative management of human resources and the monitoring of HR processes. He/she supports employees with day-to-day administrative matters and contributes to the smooth operation of HR activities across the various subsidiaries.

Activities and Tasks

Personnel Administration

  • Participate in the administrative onboarding of new employees: preparation of employment contracts and hiring documents, collection and verification of the completeness of administrative files
  • Monitor leave requests, absences, and expense claims
  • Contribute to the administration of employee benefits (health insurance, retirement plans, etc.) in coordination with relevant partners
  • Respond to employees' questions regarding HR administrative matters
  • Assist in updating and maintaining personnel records

Payroll Support

  • Collect and prepare payroll variable elements
  • Participate in the transmission of payroll information to the payroll service provider
  • Contribute to payroll data consistency and accuracy checks
  • Ensure administrative follow-up with external service providers

Human Resources Management

  • Assist in organizing and tracking meetings and interviews between managers and employees
  • Contribute to the implementation and monitoring of training initiatives
  • Participate in monitoring employees’ professional development and skills growth
  • Provide support for the HR team’s various activities and projects

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (2–3 years of higher education) in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fields
Initial experience in HR (internship, apprenticeship, or first professional role), ideally in personnel administration
Strong interest in personnel administration and human resources topics

High level of accuracy, organizational skills, and respect for confidentiality

Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills

Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Curious, proactive, and eager to learn

Knowledge of Odoo is an advantage

Excellent command of both French and English, written and spoken, is mandatory

Proficiency in Spanish would be a significant asset

Experience in an international or multicultural environment would be an added advantage
