The context
An Italian restaurant ready to move beyond spreadsheets
PORTA NOVA is an Italian restaurant in the centre of Limpertsberg in Luxembourg, where owner Adriano Presti and his team welcome guests with Mediterranean dishes that blend popular classics and contemporary creations.
Before the project, the restaurant relied mainly on Excel files to manage its day-to-day activities, including suppliers, purchases, sales and accounting, which left information fragmented and manual and limited visibility into the overall management of the company.
The goal was to improve overall restaurant management, gain better control over purchasing, inventory, and point-of-sale terminals, and obtain reliable financial analysis to support decision-making and future growth.

The client wanted to move away from managing the restaurant in Excel and implement an Odoo management solution that would help them handle suppliers, purchasing, sales, accounting, and financial analysis in a more efficient and integrated way.

An Odoo ERP foundation tailored to a restaurant business
Captivea Luxembourg began the project with a complete analysis of the client’s Odoo environment, then implemented Odoo ERP with the required applications for finance, sales, point of sale, inventory, purchasing, HR and marketing, creating a centralized system that automates billing, speeds up quote creation, optimizes purchasing and inventory management, and supports cash register operations and customer communication.
The first step of this project is to perform a complete analysis of the client's Odoo environment.
