What does the Walmart connector change for you?
The connector links Odoo directly to the Walmart Marketplace API. No more exporting CSV files from Seller Center and copying them over line by line: your orders come in automatically, already linked to the right customer and the right products. The Walmart order number stays visible on every order, which makes things easier when a customer follows up with you.
For a complete overview as soon as you log in, open the Operations Centre. This dashboard brings together your KPIs, your sales trends and the status of your syncs, with filters by period and by instance. Each instance is tied to its own marketplace, so you can, for example, compare your business in the US and in Canada. You’ll find the full list of features on the Walmart Connector page.
Manage your orders, whatever your fulfilment method
Not all of your orders necessarily ship from the same place. Every Walmart order is imported into Odoo and tracked from creation to delivery, based on your fulfilment method:
- Seller: you ship the order yourself. The connector sends the order acknowledgment to Walmart, followed by the carrier and tracking number
- WFS: Walmart ships it for you. Orders are assigned to your WFS warehouse, and tracking information is retrieved automatically
- 3PL: a third-party logistics provider handles shipping. These orders are flagged as 3PL and locked against seller-only actions, so no one on your team can confirm a shipment they don’t handle by mistake
You then decide when Odoo takes over: order confirmation, invoicing and payment can be triggered automatically at whichever stage fits the way you work. Your teams can focus on exceptions instead of repetitive tasks.
Sync your catalogue, inventory and prices, and import your payments
A promotion kicks off, orders start pouring in, and the stock levels shown on Walmart no longer match reality. That’s exactly how cancellations happen. With the connector, the inventory calculated in Odoo is exported to Walmart, and so are your prices: when you change a price in Odoo, you no longer need to re-enter it in Seller Center. To keep this sync reliable, each Odoo product is mapped to its Walmart identifiers (SKU, GTIN, WPID). If part of your inventory is stored in Walmart’s warehouses, WFS quantities flow back into Odoo as inventory adjustments.
Month-end close, on the other hand, is often when discrepancies come to light: a single Walmart settlement covers several orders, WFS fees are added on top, and everything has to be reconciled by hand. The connector imports your payment and reconciliation reports, as well as your settlements, into Odoo. Because they’re mapped to your chart of accounts, WFS fees are posted to the right accounts. Your accounting team starts from data that’s already in place and spends its time on analysis instead of data entry.
Test with complete peace of mind using read-only mode
Connecting an ERP to a live marketplace can feel daunting. Read-only mode lets you check everything before you take any action. As long as it’s enabled, nothing is sent to Walmart: no order acknowledgments, tracking updates, refunds, report requests, or inventory and price exports. Imports keep running as usual: orders, products, WFS inventory, report downloads and payments.
That way, you can compare what Odoo shows with what you see in Seller Center, then turn off read-only mode once everything matches. Every exchange with Walmart is recorded in a log, and a job queue lets you retry or cancel any task in a single click.
Open Odoo AI to your whole team
To start using the Walmart Connector:
- Purchase the module on the Odoo Apps Store, deploy it to your Odoo instance, then install it from the Apps menu
- Create your Walmart instance in the connector settings. Choose Sandbox for testing or Production for live sales, then enter the Client ID and Client Secret provided by Walmart
- Leave read-only mode on, test the connection, and run a first import of products or orders
- Review the imported data. Once everything matches, turn off read-only mode and enable automatic syncs
Setup also covers your warehouses, your sales workflow and the mapping to your chart of accounts, so take the time to tailor them to the way your business runs.
Seller, WFS or 3PL orders, inventory, prices and payments: you now run your Walmart business from the same place as the rest of your company. Your Monday morning starts in the Operations Centre instead of with a CSV export, and your month-end close starts with payments that are already reconciled.
